Getting Started Social action with organizations and communities always occurs in a context, and it would be difficult to study macro social work practice without considering relevant social issues within your own organization and community. As the article you will read mentions, macro social workers have a unique understanding of community structure and dynamics and unique insight about how to identify, describe, explore, and address problems. Likewise, from a perspective of cooperative power, constituents and stakeholders of organizations and communities also have their own useful perspectives about how to identify, describe, explore, and address social justice concerns.
