I agree that reporting him to the supervisor is a wise choice. I think that would be a hard thing to do for someone in that situation since he threatened their job if they did not do as they wanted. But, even though it could be a hard thing to do, reporting him is the best-case scenario. Prisons cannot have officers like Williams but rather need officers who report the wrongdoings of other officers. We need good correctional officers in our prisons because we can influence their lives while locked up. If they see corruption on the inside, then when they get out, they will just continue to make bad choices that could lead them right back to prison. Officer Gould should report FTO Williams as soon as she can so that he receives the proper disciplinary action. Great post you have here!

Week 9 Assignment 2 - Juvenile Versus Adult Court Systems
Overview
In this assignment, you will choose a criminal case study from your own research or use one from the crime section of
The Daily Chronicle
website Crime & Sirens | chronline.com to examine the differences between the juvenile and adult court systems. You will read and summarize a case involving an adult. Then you will consider how this case would unfold differently had a juvenile committed the crime.
Instructions
Read the case information and write a 2–3 page paper in which you:
1. Summarize the facts of the case.
2. Examine how the procedure would differ if the defendant or defendants were underage when the offense was committed.
3. Identify and discuss how juvenile proceedings differ from adult criminal proceedings as well as the differences in charges for the same crime.
4. Define the waiver process of transferring a juvenile into the adult court system.
5. Make and support recommendations for disposition based on the assumption that each defendant in your selected case is a minor being tried as a juvenile.
6. Use at least three sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the

Part 1: Who Leads By Example?
Top of Form
Never forget that the most important member of your team…is you. You must behave as a team player - in Joes words, lead from ahead, not above. To foster collaboration and success within your team, you need to lead by example and be a member of your own team. Dont ask your team members to do things you wouldnt do yourself. This helps break down barriers between team members and leaders and creates a sense of teamwork. This week, you see examples of how other leaders apply these principles to their own teams. Identify someone in your professional work life (past or current) who leads by example. Describe their specific actions and the impact that those specific actions and their leadership has on others.

RE: Who Leads By Example?

Hello professor and classmates. This is an interesting and important discussion this week because to be a leader you must be a team player. Being able to work alongside your team members and get your hands dirty as the saying goes is key to being a good leader. One person that immediately comes to my mind is the RN and clinical director who began our three cc teams at work. Keep in mind that is our critical care unit that handles the very sensitive time at the end of life for patients and their families. So having quality leadership is vital to the teams overall success. Kelly has a knowledge and experience level that is unwaivering. She always maintains an approachable attitude, shes always on time, and she has no issues with meeting us at a patients home to help us through a visit if the care is more difficult or time consuming. She did as we had to do in our project of developing the three teams that handled these cases. She found her three team leaders being myself and two others and after meeting with us on a few different occasions to discuss the new program and the work it would entail we began developing possible candidate lists of people we knew well enough to think they may be a good fit. After that she stuck with us each step of the way to be sure we each built a team that we were happy with. Even now three years later she does weekly phone meeting between all members to allow us to voice concerns, ask questions, and keep all of us in the loop on all patient issues. I take great pride in all she has taught me about being a great health care provider, leader, and person period. That is what a true leader does.

Assignment 3: Development Plan for Three Skills
Due: Week 9
Points: 125
What to submit/deliverables: Word document that contains the Assignment 3 Template.
What is the value of doing this assignment? For the last nine weeks, you’ve been learning how the 10 Skills are an essential part of being successful in the future world of work. In Assignment 2, you began to reflect on your skills and goals and how the 10 Skills have helped you reach accomplishments. Your understanding of the skills have been refined, and now it’s time to reflect on your strengths and areas for growth again in order to develop a plan moving forward.
For this assignment, you’ll identify three skills that you’d like to focus on and develop a plan for. This could be the three skills you wrote about for Assignment 1, or three new skills. As you think of which skills you’d like to improve upon, consider choosing skills at varying levels. You might, for example, choose a skill that you are already strong in, but would be excited to continue exploring and building upon, as well as a skill in which you might have more room for growth in. At the end of the assignment, you’ll leave with the beginning of a tangible plan for personal and professional development that you can review with the Career Center team.
Your goal for this assignment is to: Practice your communication skill by using the Assignment 3 Template to outline a plan for developing skills to support a successful learning experience and career. To truly develop your communication skill it is important that you write using your own words and do not cut and paste from the Skills Definition table or any other source. (See the Skill Development Plan Sample.)
Steps to complete: In Week 9, complete and submit your Development Plan for Three Skills using the following steps:
STEP 1: Identify the targeted skill. Summarize your strengths and areas of improvement in this skill area. Then, identify your desired outcomes around this skill area and write a positive goal statement. Review the Skills Definition table if you need a quick reminder of the 10 skills. Complete the following sections of the template:
• Target Skill
• Strengths
• Areas of Improvement
• Desired Outcome
• Goal Statement
STEP 2: Specify the actions you can take to work towards your goals, with specific strategies and practices that you can apply. Identify any potential obstacles and challenges to achieving your goal. Complete the following sections of the template:
• Practices for Growth
• Action Steps
• Potential Obstacles and Challenges
STEP 3: Keeping your action plan in mind, identify trusted supporters and university WRK100

Practices for Growth:
I can try a free website builder like Squarespace to help me practice designing
websites.
I already have a lot of obligations with being in school and working a part-time job, so I
think taking 30 minutes a week to learn the basics through LinkedIn Learning and
other free tools is a good way to work on this.
I also think that teaching a skill will help me learn it even better, so I’m going to offer
to help my friends learn different tools. They already ask me for help sometimes, so I
might even start an informal group each month.
Action Steps:
September 2020: Sign up for the Odin
Project and LinkedIn Learning.
Fall-Winter: Work on free tutorials
through those sites on the weekend (4
hrs).
January 2020: Sign up for
Squarespace.
Throughout 2020: Start an informal
tech group to work on website
building and get help from others
(meet once a month).
May 2020: Have a basic website set up
on Squarespace.
Potential Obstacles and Challenges:
Prioritizing and setting aside time to
develop skills.
Finding committed and interested
classmates who would motivate me
to keep at it.
