These models are: • Due process • Crime control • Medical • Bureaucratic • Just Deserts • Restorative Justice Each week, you should address the following questions in your Reflective Diary: 1. Do the procedures that we have studied at this particular stage correspond to any of the models of the criminal justice process that we studied in Week 1? If so, which models? 2. Can you identify any procedures at this particular stage of the criminal justice process where two of the models come into conflict? If so, which procedures and which models? 3. Can these conflicts be resolved? Because this assessment is a reflective diary, and not an essay, its format will be slightly different: 1. You do not need to write an introduction to the diary. 2. Use a heading for each stage of the criminal justice process (from Week 2 to Week 11). Plan to write about 200 words for each week. 3. You should write a brief (200 word) conclusion to the diary summarising your reflections from Weeks 2-11. Which model or models seem to prevail?
