Integrated Lesson Plan: Materials, Resources, and Summative Assessment Assignment Instructions
Overview
Using the Integrated Lesson Plan Template provided, you are to develop one extensive and complete lesson plan that would be part of a unit teaching science to children at the appropriate grade level. The lesson plan will be based on the 5 E’s Learning Cycle, must involve the entire class, and must be developed using the template provided. You must integrate a minimum of two subject areas. Use science content as the base and then include other subjects, such as reading, language arts, math and/or writing.
The entire Integrated Lesson Plan will be completed in two parts:
1. Integrated Lesson Plan: Vital Information and Implementation
2. Integrated Lesson Plan: Materials, Resources, and Summative Assessment
Instructions
For the Integrated Lesson Plan: Materials, Resources, and Summative Assessment Assignment, building on what you completed for the Integrated Lesson Plan: Vital Information and Implementation Assignment, you will complete the Materials and Resources and Summative Assessment portions of the lesson. All materials and resources need to be included for the lesson. This includes worksheets, PowerPoint presentations and links for technology integration. The goal is to develop an activity that will allow for active student use of technology for collaboration and problem-solving. The summative assessment needs to include an actual copy of the assessment, or instructions and a rubric for performance assessments.
