Amazon is an organization that has offered employment opportunities for many citizens in the U.S and other regions/countries globally. However, the quality of service any particular worker offers is determined by the treatment the worker receives in return. With that in mind, Amazon has revealed that workers in amazon have aired concerns that they receive poor treatment in terms of working conditions and even pay. Research questions The question below is the main focus that helps this study to research and discuss various variables related to poor working conditions at the Amazon workplace: What are the impacts of employees complaints regarding poor working conditions on the reputation of the company? Under this question, this study identifies employees complaints regarding poor working conditions as the independent variable and the companys reputation as the dependent variable. Employees complaints regarding poor working conditions can cause a bad reputation for the company (Cable & Turban2003). How does high turnover resulting from poor working conditions affect the overall operations and revenue of the company? This study identifies high turnover resulting from the poor working condition as the independent variable and overall operation and revenue of amazon as the dependent variable. It will research and discuss how high turnover has a negative impact on the overall operation and revenue of the company. Perception of customer toward amazon’s reputation Customers perception of any organizations reputation depends on the services they receive from an organisation (Gistri et al., 2019). The study explains how the poor quality of the services provided by amazon employees due to poor workplace conditions can negatively affect customers perception of the companys brand reputation. Research/evaluation design This study uses qualitative research and evaluation design to integrate interviews and questionnaires to conduct the survey (Dannels, 2018). It administers online open-ended questionnaires and guided interviews to collect data from amazon employees. The study uses the test-retest method based on conducting interviews and administering questionnaires that use the same research questions to assess and ensure reliability. Previous researchers commonly recommend the research methods and techniques used in this study as the best approaches for collecting data. Therefore they are valid research methods for generating specific results and findings to address the research question accurately. Sampling design This study uses a simple random sampling technique to select and cluster the study population. This approach allows the researcher to have an equal probability of selecting employees from amazon regardless of their working position and profession (Etikan & Bala, 2017). The researcher selects this sampling design to ensure that the survey collects inclusive information about different employees working environments. However, a weakness of this design is that the sample only provides general concern of workplace environment issues affecting Amazon employees. The study estimates a total population of two hundred employees from different professions and departments. Information/data for evaluation This study uses online interviews and questionnaire forms to collect data/get a response from the participant. The questionnaire and interview approach helps the researcher to collect primary data for evaluation (Dannels, 2018). The evaluation process focuses on identifying the impact of poor working conditions on different areas such as product performance, profitability, employee satisfaction, and rate of employee turnover. It will also include secondary sources such as scholarly articles and public websites to research different concepts and factors discovered by other researchers concerning employees working conditions.
