Hey folks, just a slide for my notes – in this section explain the change
you identified, that took place in the major organization you selected
and then justify/explain why the change was needed – remember to
use headers and then put the heavy lifting in the speaker notes (where
you will use sentences and paragraphs – almost like a business memo –
remember the key is to be thorough in your evaluation of why the
change needed to occur. Also, a good idea to connect to what you will
note in criteria 7 – the need to drive a global sustainable competitive
advantage – consider looking up the article Transient advantage by Rita
McGrath in HBR and referring to it in both criteria 1 and 7

Key thing to do here is explain how the change impacts the company
on a ‘global’ scale – that is right from the grading rubric – a major
company will be one that operates and competes for business in more
than one country – example, Yum Brands which owns KFC, Taco Bell
and Pizza Hut

Here you are evaluating how this change impacts employees – you can
pull this out of some company research and/or discuss the impact of
change on employees (how you expect they are impacted by it) – I
think this pulls directly from chapter 17 – I would use the text as one
of your sources here.

I lumped all these together as they seem to fit together – you need
approximately 8 strategies (though I guess you can combine if it seems
possible) based on the 8 steps in the Kotter model – the tactic is how
you are going to implement the strategy and then you need to provide
a rationale for the strategy/tactic combos – this is a 42\% of the possible
points so feel free to deep dive a bit – consider looking up the Kotter
article on why change initiatives fail from HBR Harvard Business Review
along with using the text – ideally put things in your own words and
cite sources – not a huge fan of direct quotes
