I plan to call at least twice a week and take short trips to spend time with my sister as she grows older. I want to continue to keep myself from being isolated by keeping friendships I’ve maintained since high school. I also want to continue going to church weekly with that group of friends. I also need to continue to develop a healthy relationship with myself. I will do this through positive affirmations and taking time for myself each day. To find my future partner I will do social activities I enjoy and hope to meet someone that way. Goal #4 Monetary: • • • To pay off my credit card debt by 2022 by paying $300 a month to my credit cards and not using them anymore. Begin saving down payment of $5000 for a new car to replace my current one by 2024. By continuing to work full time through college I can save this money. • Also learning how to balance a checkbook, get rid of extra spending and end monthly subscriptions that I don’t need. I will utilize a money saving phone app. Goal #5: Life Experiences • In my lifetime, I would like to visit as many national parks as possible in the United States. • I want to visit the Great Barrier Reef and visit Cheetahs in Africa along with other wild animals on the Savannah before I retire. • I want to improve my writing skills so I can record all my life experiences and practice drawing so I can accurately draw what I find. Goal #6: Health • I intend to exercise three times a week with different forms of cardio with muscle endurance training afterwards. • To gradually limit sweets I would like to first limit them to just the weekend, then once a week and finally only for special occasions. • To limit stress I will continue morning meditation and gradually work on making the sessions longer. I will also continue self-care with spa days instead of indulging in sweets. Goal #7: Miscellaneous • • • Reading has always been a passion of mine and I want to make sure I continue to read at least one book a month the rest of my life. I couldn’t imagine living without books they are great company. I would like to continue dance for fun, I’ve done it since a child and have no desire to make a career of it but it’s very enjoyable. I love skydiving and would like to one day be able to jump by myself not in a tandem. Summary These goals cover a broad range of my life and will not be accomplished overnight. However, I do not find this intimidating but relaxing that I have a base to refer back to whenever I feel lost in life. The first step for me is to except my previous mistake and let go of the past so I can just focus on moving forward with my life. I will need to stop making excuses not to exercise and going out to do activities I enjoy during my free time. I will have to continue learning not to procrastinate and there is no such thing as an optional assignment. Along with this scheduling will also keep me from forgetting important dates and stick to my commitments. I want to take my time to slowly build toward these goals instead of being frustrated when my efforts don’t yield immediate results. I need to live for myself and keep my determination to fulfill what I want and not what everyone tells me I need to do.
