Due on May 01, 2020 Follow outline below regarding format of the paper. Also, see sample paper which follows this outline. APA Format Outline Title Page I ncludes running head (autotext it with page number). Also, just for title page, include the words Running head before the actual running head. See sample paper. Abstract Heading should be centered but not bolded. After Title Page your Abstract will start on the top of page 2 and will be a maximum of 150 words. Although, abstract is on page 2, it is the last part of paper to be written as it is a brief summary of your entire paper. This is an abstract of your paper (not the article you are analyzing). Introduction After Abstract your Introduction will start on the top of page 3. Heading should be centered and bolded. Maximum length is one and a half (1.5) pages. First paragraph should begin to set the foundation for the reader to understand the focus of the paper. Also, include in opening paragraph the full names of authors whose experiment you are analyzing and the institutions (universities, etc.) where they conducted their investigation. This is not usual APA format but I am requiring that you do this as it will alert me of the paper being analyzed. After this opening paragraph, use exact APA citation format for the rest of paper (last name of author, year). rief review of literature (ROL) from your references should be included here (exactly B two peer reviewed journal articles; article you are analyzing and one additional article which does not necessarily have to include an experiment. It can be another experiment or one that is simply a review type article. You are laying the foundation here. Inform reader of past research relating to investigation of the article you are analyzing. In about half a page you will need to convey enough information so that the reader will be able to grasp what the major focus(main issue or issues to be covered) of the paper will be. Do not use quotation marks unless there is a reason to do so (see APA Guidelines). Instead, paraphrase and properly cite (author, year). Operationally define any term that may be confusing to the reader (in fact, write ROL asif this paper were being given to a reader who doesn’t know anything about the topic). For example, if my paper is on the reinvestment of conscious processing, I should not write my paper as if the reader understands this term, sometimes referred to as psychological jargon. If so, the reader is left in the dark. You must avoid doing this. Imagine yourself as the reader in the following case. If I were to start my ROL describing past studies in the following manner: In past studies, golfers performed poorly if they suffer from reinvestment of conscious processing. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Unless the reader has some prior knowledge in this area, he or she would be quite confused. However, if I have alerted the reader that the term “reinvestment of conscious processing” refers to an overload of thoughts that can cause a mental interference of somekind, then the reader can adequately follow along. In a sentence or two state why the experiment you are analyzing was run (the purpose of the study you are analyzing). Clearly state the researcher’s hypothesis/hypotheses. Clearly state the dependent and independent variables in the study. So clarify what exactly the DVs are and IVs including the levels of IV unless its obvious to reader (for example, gender). Do not include the results yet (save for Results section). Method This section begins right after Introduction section ends. Center and bold the heading. Maximum length is one page; about one paragraph or so for each of two subsections. Participants Include a Participants subsection. This subsection should be flush left and bolded. See sample paper. Report the demographics of the participants involved in the study being analyzed: age, sex, ethnic and/or racial groups, level of education, socioeconomic status, and anything else that might be pertinent to the study. Report the total number of participants; breakdown by group, etc. Procedure Include a Procedure subsection. This subsection should be flush left and bolded. See sample paper. Describe step-by-step how the researchers conducted their study (how participants were tested, surveys used, etc.); describe the settings and locations in which the data were collected as well as any agreements made with the participants concerning the confidential and anonymous nature of the study (for example, IRB process). Results his section begins right after the Method section ends. Center and bold the heading. T Maximum length is half a page. Clearly describe the findings of the experiment? Using numbers (for example, mean differences) is optional. No interpretation of results done here.Discussion This will start right after Results section ends. Center and bold the heading. Maximum length is one page. o Interpretation of the results. What do the findings mean? o Can the findings be applied to the real world? Explain meaningfulness (validity) of conducting such a study. o Additional peer reviewed journal article needs to be included to help reader to understand the topic better. Does not necessarily have to include an experiment.o What were the limitations in the study? Include at least one that is not related to the sample used. o What would you have done differently to make this a more effective study? These specific future recommendations should conclude your discussion. Much critical analysis is required in this section. Elaborate on your points is this section– make these very clear to the reader. References his section starts at the top of new page (next page after Discussion section ends). T Heading should be centered but not bolded. Reference section will consist of exactly three articles. ou are required to include here the peer reviewed journal article being analyzed and Y two additional references (these must also be peer reviewed journal articles). You can access many of these off the Internet but I want documentation from original source (no web addresses). Only original sources accepted – no summaries from websites, etc. Have articles listed in APA format in this section. https://search-ebscohost-com.trcc.idm.oclc.org/login.aspx?direct=true&db=pbh&AN=124892934 &site=ehost-live&scope=site https://search-ebscohost-com.trcc.idm.oclc.org/login.aspx?direct=true&db=pbh&AN=130127693 &site=ehost-live&scope=site https://search-ebscohost-com.trcc.idm.oclc.org/login.aspx?direct=true&db=pbh&AN=77687006& site=ehost-live&scope=site ...
