I.
Introduction
This research study will focus on the issue of employee turnover rate at Prestige
Holdings Limited. There has been an observable increase in employee turnover. Therefore, in
order to get evidence on this issue, this study seeks to find out the employee turnover rate in
this company. Therefore, this study will collect data and bring to the light whether the
employee turnover rate is high, low, or neutral. This study will also establish the factors that
have contributed to the employee turnover rate at Prestige Holdings Limited. This factors can
either be positive or negative, depending on the rate found out on the employee turnover. The
current research study also seeks to provide recommendations on how to enhance employee
retention at Prestige Holdings Limited. However, recommendations would be provided on the
realization that the employee turnover rate is high. This study hypothesizes that the turnover

rate at this company would be high, and it would be necessary to provide recommendations
on how to reduce this rate and enjoy more from the retention of employees.
The importance of this study would be enormous to the stakeholders of Prestige
Holdings Limited. this is because the analysis of the turnover rate would provide the true
picture of the company. As such, the major stakeholders would get a glimpse of their
situation regarding the retention of employees. Additionally, the recommendations would
help the company to improve on this issue, making it more competitive and productive, thus,
realizing more profits at the long run. The study would also be significant to the employees
because their issues would be sorted out. The reasons that make them leave the company
would be settled, and their needs would be met. Thus, employees would acquire job
satisfaction and live a better life than before. It is unlikely that the employees leave the
company due to beneficial factors, but due to hardships and unfavourable factors that force
them out. Hence, these hardships and other related needs would be satisfied, making it
possible for other employees to be attracted to work in this company.
In the analysis of data, this study will use descriptive statistics to ensure that reliable
results are produced. Hence, such presentation methods would include graphs, pie charts, and
tables. This analysis would also make use of inferential statistics to ensure that the rate of the
employee turnover is well calculated.
A. Problem Statement
There has been a high employee turnover in the past few months. This has affected the
company negatively regarding its performance, productivity, and the satisfaction of
customers. Additionally, the overall goals and objectives of the company have failed to be
met. Therefore, this research study seeks to found out the factors that have contributed to this
problem, and the possible recommendations that can be applied to this company.

B. Rationale of the Study
This study is significant because it provides possible solutions that can improve the situation
at Prestige Holdings Limited. Solving the problem of employee turnover would also solve
other problems such as managerial weaknesses, motivation, as well as the overall
productivity of the company.
C. Objectives of the Study

D. Nature of Study
This is a combination of both qualitative and quantitative research design. This is
commonly referred to as mixed method research design. Therefore, the sample population,
sampling methods, and the analysis methods would be dictated by this research design.
E. Significance of the Study
This study would be vital because it will contribute to the existing literature. Therefore, the
various findings would be considered by future researchers. Additionally, the
recommendations provided can be applied to other organizations that have similar problems
of employee turnover, as well as similar characteristics as Prestige Holdings Limited.
F. Contribution of Study to Improvements in Business Practice
The business economy has declined due to the issue of employee turnover. New models have
been suggested by different authors explaining excellent strategies of engaging employees

and keeping them motivated and committed. However, although there has been a replacement
of employees due to technological advancements, there is a need to enhance commitment to
the jobs that cannot be operated without employees. Thus, this study will provide excellent
methods that can be applied to the business practice. It will also provide support to necessary
and applicable business models and theories that can be used to enhance employee retention.
The study will also suggest the significance of employees in the business environment.
G. Delimitations
This study acknowledges that the solutions that will be provided in form of recommendations
to Prestige Holdings Limited are not applicable to all businesses. However, they are only
applicable to organizations that have similar characteristics as Prestige Holdings Limited.
H. Sample Population
This study seeks to collect data from the employees and the various departmental
managers at Prestige Holdings Limited. A specific method would be used to calculate the
sample population and provide a reasonable percentage that would be selected from the entire
population.

In this study, the researcher intends to use questionnaire guides and interview guides
in order to gather relevant information from the sample population. These research
instruments will be constructed based on the research questions. This would be necessary in
order to ensure that there are no irrelevant and ambiguous questions are included in these
questionnaires and interviews.
