I believe, understanding different dimensions of computing is a necessary skill set for an educated person in the 21st century. However, there are only a few nations and institutions, which provide and support the innovative side of technological studies. Undoubtedly, Canada is one of them. Canadian universities are internationally recognised for their high academic standards and emphasis on research in tertiary education. EDUCATION I have completed my secondary and senior secondary (non-medical) education from Central Board Secondary Education in 2017 & 2019 with 10CGPA & 84\%. As I was interested in studying abroad so, I did IELTS and scored 6.5 bands overall with individual spread of Listening-7, Reading-7, Writing-6, Speaking -6 on 6th July 2019 REASONS FOR NOT STUDYING IN INDIA India being the highly populated country has seen huge growth in number of students leading to rise in opening of educational institutes, which are private. Getting higher education from private colleges means spending huge sum of money with lesser practical knowledge and almost no placements. Going to government run institutes is tough process being a general category student as seats get filled too soon. The Indian MNCs also prefer internationally graduate students leading me to choose foreign country for studying. Studying abroad improves one’s personality, communication skills, social contacts, and at the same time one can experience a different quality of life and can have challenges to nourish the life more. The education system of foreign countries is more advanced due to latest teaching techniques, course curriculum and moreover, industry oriented programs are offered. COMPUTER PROGRAMME The Computer system technician programme grants the privilege to learn practical aspects of multiple programming language and subjects such data structure, object oriented programming with C++, Java technology in my under graduation. Today, technology is an integral part of our world influencing the way we listen to music, take pictures, communicate and use information. Being good at quantitative and analytical skills helps me see the principle and logic behind most of the things. The course will help open a lot of opportunities when it comes to programming languages like C++ distributed over various platforms. This course will help me to polish my abilities, rise and take my career to a whole new level. I strongly believe that knowledge gained earlier and with my further study in this course will help me achieve my goals. Computer Systems Technicians have the skills to plan, administer, configure and maintain individual and networked computer systems. This college prepares the graduates and provide them technical support which can be used in a business environment. This program is specially designed for students who are problem solvers with good analytical skills and I believe I am one of such kind. I am confident of adding paradigm diversity of computing world by joining the Georgian College for my graduation. I quickly developed interest in this subject as I felt that in the future people would be more dependent on computers than ever before. CANADA Canada was the first and final choice for me when I was in a phase to choose a country for my further studies because the education system of Canada is brilliant in all sort of ways . The selected undergraduate program “Computer System Technician” focuses on both theory and practical features. More importantly, it is fully equipped with excellent laboratory and teaching facilities, which prepare students to take leading roles. I realised that the programme offered by Georgian College has all the resource that provide in-depth knowledge. After discussing, I learnt that the educational institutes in Canada have been rated among the premier centers of higher education. In Canada there are so many other colleges which are providing the course that I am interested of. But I selected Georgian College for its reputation as well as for its nominal fee structure. At this institute, many of the academic programs include co-op experience. Not only this, graduates of this college have a competitive edge in employability all around the world. FUTURE GOALS Nowadays, there are various multinational companies in which I can smoothly get the job at good positions because I have international qualification. It is expected that by pursuing this course from Geogian College I will gain the necessary knowledge and skillset which will act as a pre-requisite in my quest to obtain a Bachelors degree or I can start working. I will have good advancement potential. Entry level positions include technical support analyst, IT consultant, and network technologist/administrator in a wide range of sectors including government, corporations and the public sector. The Indian IT companies in which I can have job are HCL Info systems, Intel India, Infosys Technologies, Accenture, HP India, Genone, Lenovo India, etc. These kinds of companies offer handsome salary packages along with other lucrative facilities. Thus, after doing this program I have so many options for job as well as a bright career and secure future. In brief, education from Canada will lead me to a shimmering career and I am sure I will not regret my decision. My long-term goal is to put my footprints in the field of technology-based computing environment through my contribution to society and my country. FINANCIAL SUPPORT I have strong financial background, which enables my family to support my education while I will be in Canada. I plan to return to India to look after my family which includes my parents and a siter. I have already paid my full year tuition fee amounting 16388 CAD and GIC amounting 10000 CAD to NOVA SCOTIA Bank per the embassy requirement.
