The villains in Black Panther and Wonder Woman are related to the films’ main characters. In Wonder Woman, Ares is Wonder Woman’s half brother, and he is the most powerful of her foes. Not only is Ares intelligent, but he is also a master of strategy, and he has an incredibly long life, making him a difficult foe to outwit. Ares is jealous of humanity and plans its destruction, openly saying “Kill them all, they deserve to die”. In Black Panther, Erick Killmonger is Black Panther’s cousin, whose underlying goal is world domination. Killmonger’s main desire is to reign over Wakanda. He even declares that “The sun will never set on the Wakandan Empire,” echoing an ancient aphorism regarding the British Empire, to show that he Li 2 is serious about his desire to obtain power. Both villains are hungry for power and will do whatever it takes to gain it. Both Black Panther and Wonder Woman come from secret civilizations that are hidden from the rest of the world. Black Panther comes from Wakanda, which is a hidden country in East Africa. Black Panther and Wonder Woman are royals. Wonder Woman is called Princess Diana in Themyscira. Her mother is the Amazonian queen. In addition to her golden lasso and bracelets which she wears throughout the film, she also wears a tiara, which doubles as a weaponized royal accessory. Black Panther’s father is a King (T’Chaka), and his mother is a Queen (Ramonda), which makes him a prince. Another theme that is present in Wonder Woman and Black Panther is both films have all-female warrior groups. Black Panther’s strong female warriors are known as the Dora Milaje, and they are the best fighters when it comes to weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, and martial arts. They safeguard the throne and the Black Panther. In an intense, action-packed scene, Nakia, who is the master of espionage, and Okoye, whose use of a spear and combat skills are unparalleled, fight off the guards, embark on a wild car chase, and capture Klaue. Wonder Woman is skilled in battle, and she is preternaturally strong. In the film, she outlines military strategies, leading armies of both women and men, proving herself to be a highly skilled leader and a fierce fighter. She single-handedly fought off the Germans occupying the Belgium village of Veld in the saving Veld scene, and she proved Chris Pine wrong by crossing no man’s land when he stated that it was impossible to do so.
