There are many ways I can imagine integrating your faith in a business start-up. Hebrews 11:6 says But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Holy Bible,KJV) You first intergrate faith in your business by knowing first that you want to please God in what you are doing. Second, you can integrate your faith by infusing integrity, involvement of the scripture, and indiviualism in your everyday tasks and interactions with people via in person or online. You can remind others of the principles and practices that your business stands for in a visible manner. For example, business well- known such as Inn-Out burger who openly are a Christian company who have put scriptures on their wrappers and cups. In the 90s Richard who was a son of the founders had just accepted the Lord at that time and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand.” (Grant,2019) In choosing from the assesments that I did I took two quizzes that said similiar but different answers. According to the quiz of Entrepreneurial Personality I scored a 35 which said that I had waht it took to blaze my own trail. To surround myself with a strong support system and I will go far. Then I decided to take the Forbes start up self assesment which said through I exhibited qualities that would make a great entrepreneur, I must be comfortable with risks, taking more inative, and getting my financial house in order. As you must be able to spend money in business it can possibly be challenging as a full-time student. Financial capital is one of the necessary resources required for enterprises to form and subsequently operate. Capital decisions and the use of debt and equity at start-up have been shown to have important implications for the operations of the business, risk of failure, firm performance, and the potential of the business to expand. (Gavin,2004) Learning to not be scared while being wise is important to any person wanting to have a start-up business. Blessings! The Holy Bible, King James Version Post #2 – Brianna Banks As Read and the other authors state, ideas are cheap and plentiful (2016, p.230) There are many ideas to have for businesses, the problem is finding one that will stick and have a demand. Im personally more interested in art than starting up an innovative business. However, some ideas could revolve around cheaper options or alternatives for college student books. More art leaning, if I bought myself really nice printers I could start my own online printing company for artists who cannot afford to print for themselves or afford an expensive printer. Integrating faith into business is no easy task, and one that may be becoming more and more difficult as some of you may find in the news (Piper, 2019). It can be integrated into policies and deciding how to run the business and with whom. 1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV) states, Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. After taking one of the assessments from the provided links, I was given results stating that I have some of the characteristics that could lend to entrepreneurship. According to the assessment, I lack mentors and supporters, risk-taking, selfefficaciousness, and optimism. With the last one, I tried to be realistic, as I dont shoot for optimism as much as realism. It is good to be optimistic about the unknown, however, you must be ready for the chance that it wont go well. On the upside, I had a high score for risk management. Lacking support is something that I cannot control well. Finding good supportive friends and family is more difficult than it sounds. 1 Corinthians 15:33 King James Version. Routledge. Running head: BUSINESS START-UP Business Start-Up Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation 1 BUSINESS START-UP 2 Business Start-Up As Read et al. (2017) contend, it is mythical to view prominent business persons as heroes of present times. Undoubtedly, successful entrepreneurs embrace certain types of activities, such as creating new ventures and developing new markets. No matter the uniqueness of a business concept, real entrepreneurs recognize both success and failure as part of the process of becoming successful (Read et al., 2017). Based on insights gained from entrepreneurship literature, I have developed a noble, viable business idea. One of the start-up ideas of interest would be to open a company for designing, manufacturing, and selling smart pet collar. The product is used to monitor the health of animals, including pets. Notably, the device is vital to the health of pets because it allows owners to detect health issues in the earliest possible stages. The product will feature some technologies that would allow pet owners to collect their pets’ health information using their smartphones. Additionally, it has the capability of analyzing the collected information and alerting the owner of potential health concerns. It is possible to integrate my idea with faith. As a religious person, I acknowledge care for animals as a way of fulfilling God’s command requiring humans to serve as stewards of His creation (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, 2020). The start-up represents a spiritual call to protect God’s creatures. Importantly, I feel I have the potential to thrive in this venture. Upon undertaking a self-assessment test to determine my entrepreneurial skills, I received an impressive score, implying that establishing a strong support system could help me capitalize on my strengths and improve my weaknesses. In conclusion, the study is a highlight of a business concept that I consider to be viable given the present business environment and trends. Tech-savvy populations support the business because it is technology-oriented. Hence, effective implementation of the plan could lead to success.
