Dr. Sole,I appreciate your help on spreadsheet. I read your recommendations and agree that I need to remove the years on the spreadsheet. Change your data, so that your numbers make more sense and you pay off the debt and balance the books earlier in the project. (RECOMMENDED). The expense and revenue numbers doesnt matter, then you can just change random figures around, balance it all and I can then just use what you give me.The next part of AssignmentConduct a financial analysis of the proposed healthcare product or service by completing the following:Part 1: Develop the Ratio Analyses Worksheet:Open your Healthcare Budget Request workbook that you created in the previous Assignment, and navigate to the “A5 Ratio Analyses” worksheet.Using the Healthcare Budget Request Workbook Step-by-Step Guide for guidance, create cost-benefit, break-even, marginal cost, and other analyses as directed for the product or service that you have proposed.NOTE: You will copy your worksheet and analysis onto the Healthcare Budget Request Template (Word document) for submission.Part 2: Summary of Analyses and Interpretation of Results:Create a brief (1- to 2-page) description of your analyses. Healthcare Budget Request Reducing Nursing Shortage by Increasing Recruitment Efforts Prepared by: Ivy Garrett Submitted: January 19, 2020 Executive Summary Nursing Shortage and the Cost of Recruitment The nursing shortage is one issue that is plaguing healthcare organizations globally. The nursing workforce is expected to grow from 2.9 million in 2016 to 3.4 million in 2026. There is a projection for an additional 203,700 new nurses each year through 2026 to fill newly created positions and to replace retiring nurses (Grant, 2016). Stakeholders, according to their focal point, can be organized into the following three groups: internal, external, and interface. Internal stakeholders are management and professional organizations, physicians. External stakeholders are legislators and competitors. Interface stakeholders either operate simultaneously inside and outside the perimeters of the organization, such as members of the hospital board, or work mainly outside those borders but influence the internal practices of the organization, such as professional associations, patients, and patient families (Kallio, Tevameri, & Vähätalo, 2018). The stakeholder groups that would be responsible for helping address the nursing shortage would be the American Nursing Association because the nursing profession’s task is to take care of patients and healthcare. Nurses’ Association contributes to writing collegiality guidance for nurses (ANA, n.d.). Existing Practice and Problem Identification Nursing shortages result in low morale among nurses, dissatisfaction, exhaustion, unnecessary work pressure, conflict with assignments, excessive and mandatory overtime work, stress during shifts and a resulting turnover. Health care agencies, due to excessive working hours, incur high human resources and financial costs; and these are correlated with sick leave, absenteeism, exhaustion and decreased productivity (Farahani, Oskouie, & Ghaffari, 2016). Proposed Solution To help decrease the nursing shortage, I propose to increase recruitment efforts by expanding the multimedia proposal to promote careers in nursing and enhance the image of nursing. This multimillion-dollar effort includes television commercials, a recruitment video, a Web site, brochures. Conclusion Feeling the financial stress, hospitals want to reduce their reliance on additional staffing. Hospital turnover is rising, and executives need to be concerned as this is a leading indicator of future financial pressure and satisfaction of patients and employees. References ANA. (n.d.).
