The purpose of this study is driven by various facts that we have been witnessing in our society. People have been so much relaxed on the issue of women and leadership, and this is the time that individuals need to wake up and embrace equality in everything that is done. Women have not been given opportunities in the past to lead, and if calculations can be done, then, a tiny percentage of women have been allowed to lead. Additionally, the health issues affecting women have also been connected with their ability to lead effectively. Most of these arguments that have been given in the past are stereotype in nature, and it is high time a right solution is sought to embrace equality in leadership roles among men and women. This is why research is done to understand the root causes of issues of women’s role in leadership as well as their health so that the problem can be solved with a good understanding (deMarrais, & Lapan, 2003). Qualitative Research Questions • Which theories can best explain the role of women in leadership? • How are women health, emotions, and leadership roles related? This study is based on the current situation as well as the stereotype that most people have heard about women health and leadership positions. Therefore, when preparing for the study, the researcher needs to have objectives that will direct them to the major areas that they plan to touch during the study (Malterud, Siersma, & Guassora, 2016). The objectives will be detailed in a précised manner that is direct to the point and covering all the necessary information and data that are required during the study. Examples of some of the primary objectives during the study will be as follows: Objectives • The research aims to develop an understanding of the role of women in leadership within society and how it has been evolving from the past to the current situation. • To develop a path to female leadership by checking some of the challenges that they have been facing in the past and present to devise ways through which the challenges facing women in direction can be reduced. • To find out some of the health issues that women commonly face in society and then connect them with how they affect the role of women in leadership. • To empower women within the society by reducing stereotype created against them, giving them more opportunities, creating equality and offering better healthcare access for them Type of Qualitative Research That Will Be Used There are various qualitative research methods that might be used in this study. However, I will decide to pick on only one qualitative research method that I feel is the most suitable for the type of data and information that I am expecting to collect. The type of qualitative research method that I will use is the narrative method. The narrative approach is mainly based on interviews that may be conducted for some time, depending on the urgency of the data or study (Noble, & Smith, 2015). This may take weeks or even months to a point where the researcher will be satisfied that the information or data that they have is sufficient. Narrative qualitative research method weaves together some sequence of past events (Turner III, 2010). This may be obtained from just one, two or more people to form a cohesive story. The narrative method entails some in-depth activities that will be carried out to help in finding useful information from the respondents. It will involve conducting in-depth interviews as well as reading some documents to ascertain some data obtained. The main benefit of using the qualitative narrative method in this research is that it is very flexible compared to other methods of qualitative research. It allows the researcher to customize the content of the interview according to the contexts such as what someone is feeling, health condition, experience and other more factors that may be appropriate for the research (Noble & Smith, 2015). The additional benefit of this method is that it is what it exactly appears to be as it does not create an illusion of objectivity as often the case with rating systems (King, Horrocks, & Brooks, 2018). The disadvantage that may come with the use of the narrative method is that it depends on the ability of individuals to remember what happened some years ago or what has been happening over the past period and summarize it into some facts. In this study, the potential participants will be adults of 18 years and above. Both men and women will participate without any discrimination. The type of questions asked will cut across gender differences . ... Purchase answer to see full attachment
